Dermatologic surgery includes a variety of methods to remove or modify skin tissue for health or cosmetic benefit. These methods include scalpel surgery, chemical surgery, cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen), electrosurgery and injection of filler substances.

In most cases, skin problems requiring surgery can be addressed in the dermatologist’s office or in an outpatient setting, usually under local anesthesia, with minimal pain and low risk of complications.

Encore Dermatology utilizes the latest treatments in psoriasis management. We participate in several registries following long-term benefits and side effects of ‘biologic medications’ used for psoriasis. Biologic drugs include Remicade, Humira, Embrel, Amevive and Stelara. If you have used or are using one of these medications for your psoriasis, you may want to be included in a registry and will be compensated for your time. Please call us for more information, or discuss with Dr. Londeree or Kristin Young during your next appointment.
